TERRIER TIDBITS
  • BU maintained its hold on first place in the Patriot League with a 2-2 draw over second place Bucknell last Saturday.
  • After surrendering their first goal in the previous 427 minutes in the first half, the Terriers scored twice in the second stanza. Junior Geovanna Pereira (50') and sophomore Lily Matthews (88') supplied the scoring.
  • Those goals were the first for the two this year, and the first in Matthews' career. Twelve Terriers have now scored on the season.
  • With the assist on Matthews' tally, senior Jenna Oldham now has a team-best seven assists and 15 points. Those marks rank second and third in the Patriot League entering the week, respectively.
  • Goalkeepers Gretchen Bennett (two saves) and Celia Braun (one save) continued to share time between the posts, and have combined for a .744 save percentage this year.
  • BU extended its unbeaten streak to six games, dating back to Sept. 25.
  • The Terriers are 5-0-1 this year when scoring multiple goals, and 5-3-1 at Nickerson Field.
  • Entering the penultimate week of the regular season, BU is first in the Patriot League with 16 points. Bucknell and Loyola boast 14 points, while Navy has 13 points. The Terriers have already clinched a spot in the Patriot League Tournament.
  • The Bison take on Army on Friday and Lehigh next Wednesday, both on the road. After Saturday's match, the Greyhounds visit American. Navy heads to Holy Cross on Saturday, then hosts Lafayette in the regular season finale.

SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
  • Loyola sports a 7-5-3 record, and trails the Terriers in the standings with its 4-1-2 conference mark.
  • The Greyhounds also enter the match with an unbeaten streak, a span of five games (3-0-2) that began on Sept. 25.
  • Most recently, Loyola topped Lehigh 1-0 last Saturday thanks to Baylee DeSmit's strike less than a minute into the second half.
  • DeSmit leads the team with seven points, and shares the team-high of three goals with Ada Clare Tempert.
  • Paige Sim has started all 15 games in goal, recording a 0.96 goals-against average along with a .815 save percentage.

SERIES HISTORY
  • Saturday marks the 11th all-time meeting between the Terriers and Greyhounds.
  • BU has a 7-1-2 edge in the rivalry, dating back to 2009.
