BOSTON, Mass. – The Boston University women's basketball coaching staff has inked two student-athletes to the first recruiting class in their tenure, first-year Head Coach Melissa Graves and the program announced on Tuesday morning.
Guard Jaycie Christopher and forward Samantha Crispe are the first future Terriers to represent the BU Class of 2026, and will join the program next fall. Caitlin Weimar was the program's first newcomer in the regime, arriving in August as a transfer student.
"I am thrilled for this next class of incoming terriers to be joining our family," said Graves. "They are incredibility talented, multifaceted young women who are anxious to compete on the court and in the classroom. Each of them has special and unique abilities, and will be tremendous additions to our team. I am excited for the future of our program just as much as I am for the present."

JAYCIE CHRISTOPHER
- Christopher is a 5-10 guard that hails from Skowhegan, Maine.
- A three-sport athlete at Skowhegan High School, Christopher has already scored 1,000 points in her first three seasons.
- In that span, the team captain has been named All-Conference three times, winning Conference Player of the Year twice.
- Christopher has also earned a pair of First Team All-State and All-Defensive Team honors.
- Outside of basketball, she is a state champion and Conference Player of the Year in softball. Similar to basketball and softball, she has also lettered in golf in every year of high school.
- "Jaycie is someone who brings high energy and a competitive nature every single time she steps on the floor. Her combination of toughness and athleticism makes her a difficult matchup at the guard position. Not only can she play up-tempo and contribute in multiple ways on offense, but she has a strong ability to defend as well. Her capacity to effect the game on both ends of the floor will be another great addition to our team."

- Crispe is a 6-2 forward who lives in Castle Pines, Colorado.
- She started her career at Arapahoe High School leading the varsity team in blocks and rebounds her freshman year.
- In her sophomore season, she continued to pace her squad in those categories, while also scoring the most points en route to Second Team All-League honors.
- Last year, Crispe was selected for Second Team All-State and First Team All-League, ranking second in the league in scoring and rebounding.
- She also earned a spot on the CHSAA Academic First Team.
- "Sam is a not only highly talented, but has a high basketball IQ as well. She has the ability to play both back to the basket and stretch the opponent's defense by extending out to the perimeter. She will create a difficult matchup for defenses by being able to finish around the rim as well as knock down the jumper. Sam's ability to fit our style of our play and rebound the basketball at a high level make her a very important piece to our program."
