November 30, 2021 | Women's Soccer
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Senior defender Jenna Oldham and sophomore forward Abigail McNulty continue to receive accolades for their stellar 2021 campaigns, as the duo earned spots on the United Soccer Coaches Division I Women's All-North Region teams, the organization announced Monday evening.
Oldham was selected to the All-Region Second Team, while McNulty was recognized on the Third Team. This marks the first time since 2018 that BU had multiple Terriers earn regional honors. Anna Heilferty and Dorrie Varley-Barrett garnered the honor in that year.
Oldham adds to a list of awards that already includes the 2021 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year, All-Patriot League First Team, and NEWISA Division I Senior Bowl selection for the Patriot League regular season champions. The Florida native paced BU with 15 points, sharing the team lead with four goals and seven assists. Moving from forward to defense this past season, she helped guide a unit that that recorded seven shutouts on the year and allowed more than one goal in league play just once in nine games.
McNulty also earns her first-career USC All-Region award following a sophomore campaign where she shared the team-high with Oldham with seven assists, ranking second on the team with 11 points. Nine of those points came in Patriot League play, and she earned a spot on the All-Patriot League First Team as a result. The Stow, Mass. native set up the game-winning goal in the Patriot League semifinals that propelled the Terriers to their sixth Patriot League championship game appearance in program history.
