September 9, 2021 | Women's Basketball
BOSTON – A pair of matchups with the Atlantic Coast Conference and five total home games highlight the 2021-22 Boston University women's basketball non-conference schedule, as announced by first-year head coach Melissa (D'Amico) Graves Thursday afternoon.
Coming off a 12-3 season that featured their first appearance in the Patriot League title game, the Terriers will compete in 11 contests before entering conference play.
The Graves era will open with four of the first five games taking place at Case Gym. The Terriers will start off by hosting UMass Lowell on Tuesday, Nov. 9, before visiting Princeton for the first time in program history.
BU will next return home for a three-game homestand that will feature B-line rival Boston College (Nov. 17), Maine (Nov. 21) and Yale (Nov. 24).
Afterwards, the Terriers will make three easy trips to Harvard (Nov. 27), Northeastern (Dec. 1) and Merrimack (Dec. 9) before welcoming New Hampshire to Case Gym on Dec. 13.
Non-conference play will conclude on the road at Rhode Island and then at 2021 NCAA Sweet 16 participant Georgia Tech from the ACC.
BU returns four of five starters from the 2021 Patriot League tournament runner-up squad, including 2021 All-PL Second Team honoree Sydney Johnson (11.9 ppg, 3.7 apg) and Third Team member Maren Durant (9.5 ppg, 7.7 rpg). This year's team also features a pair of former Rookies of the Year in 2020 award winner Maggie Pina (9.3 ppg, 1.7 spg) and 2021 MAAC recipient Caitlin Weimar, who averaged 8.6 ppg and 7.6 rpg at Marist this past season.
Season tickets for women's basketball will be $65 for the general public with special pricing for faculty/staff ($50) and young alumni ($40). Season ticket holders can renew by logging in at https://am.ticketmaster.com/agganis/invoice#.
