PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Boston University women's tennis team competed at the Brown Fall Classic over the weekend. BU picked up 15 singles and seven doubles wins at the tournament.

Two senior Terriers earned three singles wins each in Victoria Carlsten and Kaitlin Tan as they both defeated opponents from Dartmouth, URI and UConn. Picking up two wins apiece were senior Michelle Kleynerman and sophomores Rhea Rai and Emily Zhao. Rhai and Kleynerman took down foes from URI and UConn while Zhao topped opponents from Brown and URI.

Also etching themselves in the win column for singles were junior Nina Gulbransen, junior Sydney Sharma and freshman Blanka DeMicheli. Overall, Kleynerman and Gulbransen went undefeated in singles on the weekend.

Four doubles pairs for the Terriers went 1-0 with wins over opponents from Dartmouth, URI and UConn. Notably, doubles pair of Tan and Zhao went 2-1 while Carlsten and Gulbransen went 1-1. The Terriers won seven of 11 doubles matches at the tournament.

BU will compete again on Friday, Oct. 20, when it heads to Army West Point for the ITA Super Regionals.
