HOW IT HAPPENED
- The River Hawks jumped out to an early 10-4 lead thanks to Mili Carrera's triple midway through the first quarter.
- Giannaros' three, a Weimar basket, and free throws from freshman Audrey Ericksen put BU ahead 11-10 later in the stanza.
- Rodriguez's three-point to ignite the second quarter made it a 15-11 ballgame in favor of the River Hawks.
- From there, however, BU scored 10-consecutive points, with eight coming on a pair of Giannaros triples and a transition layup.
- Freshman Inés Monteagudo Pardo's first-career three with 1:31 until halftime put the Terriers on top 34-22.
- Weimar took over in the third with 10-straight points herself, the last of it giving BU a 46-35 lead.
- UMass Lowell cut the gap to 48-43 after three quarters as Sydney Watkins converted a layup with 1:15 on the block.
- Senior Sophie Beneventine picked off a pass to feed Giannaros for a straightaway three 43 seconds into the fourth for a 53-45 Terrier advantage.
- However, The River Hawks held the Terriers scoreless for nearly seven minutes, grabbing a 54-53 lead with 3:53 to play on Rayne Durant's jumper.
- Weimar made three out of four free throws for a 56-54 Terrier edge with 2:22 on the clock. Rice's second-chance jumper 40 seconds later leveled the game.

- Giannaros' effort was her seventh-career game with four or more three-pointers. She is averaging 15 points per game across her three season openers.
- Ericksen, Monteagudo Pardo, and sophomore Anete Adler scored their first points as members of the Terriers.
- Gormley and Ericksen earned spots in the starting lineup, marking the first time since Nov. 8, 2019 that BU started two freshmen.
