BOSTON – On the final day of the 2025 regular season, the Boston University women's soccer program hosts Colgate on Wednesday (Oct. 29). Opening kick from Nickerson Field is set for 6 p.m.
BU (9-4-3, 6-1-1 PL) has secured a top-two seed for the Patriot League Tournament. The Terriers will capture the Patriot League regular season championship and the No. 1-seed for the postseason with a win or a tie against the Raiders (9-4-4, 6-1-1 PL).

Prior to the match, BU's senior class will celebrate Faculty & Staff Appreciation Night with a pregame ceremony, honoring a professor or faculty member that has made a positive impact in their time at Boston University.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU won its sixth consecutive match with a 4-0 road triumph at Lehigh on Oct. 25.
- Senior Giulianna Gianino posted four points on a goal and two assists, while classmate Mackenzie Stickelman, junior Samantha Aronson and sophomore Olivia Avellar also found the back of the net.
- Goalkeeper Bridget Carr made five saves in her fifth straight shutout.
- Gianino was named the Patriot League Midfielder of the Week on Monday (Oct. 27) for the third time this year, the most for a Patriot League student-athlete this season.
- She needs one more assist to set the single season program record with 12 assists and one more point for sole possession of fifth place on BU's all-time points list.
- The Terriers have not allowed a goal in the last 476:24 of play. At home, BU's defense has not conceded a goal in the last 463:26 dating back to Aug. 21.

SCOUTING COLGATE
- The Raiders have won four in a row, most recently a 4-2 home tilt against Bucknell on Oct. 25.
- Colgate's nine wins this year are the most for the program since 2018.
- Ari Bezanson and Josie Tunney pace Colgate's attack with six points and two assists. Goalkeeper Ella Poppinga has recorded a .786 save percentage and 1.24 goals-against average in every minute.
- The Raiders were projected to finish sixth in the Patriot League preseason poll. Bezanson earned a spot on the Preseason All-Patriot League Team.
- Last season, Colgate went 5-10-4 with a 3-3-3 conference record, reaching the Patriot League quarterfinal round.
SERIES HISTORY
- Wednesday marks the 17th all-time meeting between BU and Colgate in a series that began in 1998.
- The Terriers sport an 11-4-1 advantage in the rivalry, winning the last two installments.
- At home, BU is 5-3.
- Last season, the Terriers won 3-2 in Hamilton, N.Y. thanks to Gianino's game-winning Olimpico goal in the 88th minute.
