BOSTON – Concluding the non-conference schedule, the Boston University men's basketball team will host UMass Lowell on Sunday with the tip slated for 12 p.m.

TERRIER TIDBITS

BU owns two home wins so far with a 90-77 victory over Brown and 104-57 win against VTSU Johnson.
Junior and leading BU scorer Michael McNair (15.8 ppg) enters the matchup ninth nationally averaging 3.67 made 3FGs per game and also ninth shooting 51.2 percent from behind the arc.
Sophomore Ben Defty leads the Terriers in the post at 6.7 rpg alongside 12.5 ppg. He ranks 24th nationally shooting 63.2 percent from the field and is also 66th at 19 blocks.
Freshman Chance Gladden is the third Terrier averaging double figures at 10.9 ppg while combining for 5.9 apg with senior Ben Roy (6.6 ppg).
BU is averaging 73.5 ppg and 47.3 FG%, its highest percentage since shooting 48.0 FG% during the 2018-19 season.
On the defensive front, the Terriers are currently holding opponents to 75.7 ppg and 47.4 FG%.

SCOUTING UMASS LOWELL

The River Hawks are currently 5-8 with a 4-1 home record and 1-7 road mark following last season's 17-15 campaign.
UML earned a 75-64 road victory at Stonehill and came up just against the Bobcats at Saint Peter's, 68-66.
Four River Hawks are averaging double figure in points with Austin Green leading the way at 14.6 ppg and 7.9 rpg with a 63.5 shooting percentage.
JJ Massaquoi (11.3 ppg), Darrel Yepdo (10.3 ppg) and Xavier Spencer (10.2 ppg) round out the group with Yepdo and Spencer combining for 5.9 apg.
UM is averaging 78.2 ppg and 47.0 FG% while holding opponents to 79.2 ppg and 44.4 FG%.

SERIES HISTORY

The teams are tied, 6-6, with the River Hawks riding a three-game win streak following last year's 83-71 home win.
BU is 4-2 all-time at home after dropping a 71-63 decision in 2023.

LOOKING AHEAD

BU will start off conference action at Patriot League preseason favorite Navy on Wednesday, Dec. 31, with a 1 p.m. start time.
The teams have met three times in each of the last two seasons, combining for a 3-3 record with BU winning the 2024 PL quarterfinal and coming up short in the 2025 PL quarterfinal at home.
The Midshipmen are riding a five-game home win streak following last year's 62-47 victory.
