- As a team, BU ranks fifth nationally shooting 41.3 percent from behind the arc with junior and leading scorer Michael McNair (16.3 ppg) averaging7. 3.8 made 3-pointers per game thanks to 55.9 3FG%.
- Freshman Sam Hughes (9.5 ppg) and sophomore Azmar Abdullah (7.1 ppg) are averaging a combined 3.7 made 3-pointers per game as well.
- In the paint, sophomore Ben Defty (11.9 ppg) owns a team-high 6.2 rpg alongside 16 blocks, and graduate student Malcolm Chimezie (6.4 ppg) second in rebounding at 5.1 rpg.
- During last Wednesday's home win over VTSU Johnson (104-57), freshman Andrew Bhesania became the third freshman to score 20+ points in a game, joining classmates Chance Gladden and Hughes. BU and the University of Arizona are the only two teams nationally with three rookies to reach the mark so far.
- BU is 2-1 at home with wins over Brown (90-77) and the Badgers alongside a 91-79 loss to Merrimack.
- The Terriers are averaging 75.9 ppg and 49.6 FG% while holding opponents to 76.2 ppg and 47.2 FG%.
- Coming off a 20-14 season, the 2025 America East runner-up Black Bears have suffered five of their 11 losses by single digits, including 58-53 defeat against Brown and 64-60 loss to Siena.
- They also fell to American, 74-61, in their previous matchup against the Patriot League.
- A grad transfer from Southern Missouri State, 6-foot-9 forward TJ Biel leads Maine at 11.6 ppg and 4.6 rpg, while 6-foot-10 forward Keelan Steele is second at 8.1 ppg. They duo has combined for 29 blocks as well.
- As a team, Maine is averaging 59.0 ppg and 43.1 FG% while holding opponents to 71.4 ppg and 45.1 FG%.
- BU leads the all-time series, 62-42, that dates back to 1903.
