Deppiesse Named Patriot League Player of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After batting an impressive .588 with a 1.353 slugging percentage, Boston University softball junior Brooke Deppiesse has been named Patriot League Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.
The Redwood City, California, native helped lead BU to three wins at the Winthrop Eagle Classic with a team-high nine RBIs and six runs scored while posting a perfect fielding percentage at second base. For her efforts, she received the Terriers' first Player of the Week honor this season and her fourth overall weekly award.
Deppiesse started off with an RBI triple and RBI single during the Terriers' 13-1 (5) win over Presbyterian. During the 12-2 victory at Winthrop, she opened the scoring with a solo homer and followed with an RBI single alongside a two-RBI double. She opened the Queens contest with another homer and added an RBI single en route to a 10-2 (5) victory.
The Terriers will next visit Queens on Tuesday (March 11) with a 6 p.m. start time.
