April 7, 2026 | Softball
BOSTON – After batting a team-high .778 with 14 RBIs during a three-game series sweep over Bucknell, Boston University softball senior Megan Coyle earned National Player of the Week honors, as announced by the SI on Softball media outlet Tuesday afternoon.
The award marks the second for the Terriers from the group this season after senior Kasey Ricard garnered National Pitcher of the Week recognition back on March 17.
A native of Herndon, Virginia, Coyle started off the series against the Bison batting 4-for-4 with two triples, a single and grand slam homer to total a program-record and conference record-tying nine RBIs. She then went 1-for-2 with a walk, two RBIs and two runs scored and wrapped up the competition batting 2-for-3 with a solo HR and three RBIs.
The Terriers will next conclude their nine-game homestand by hosting Providence in a doubleheader Wednesday afternoon. First pitch is slated for 2:30 p.m.
