April 28, 2026 | Softball
AMHERST, Mass. – Helped by a couple of clutch at-bats and a strong pitching performance from senior Kasey Ricard, the Boston University softball team posted a 3-1 win at UMass Tuesday afternoon.
Ricard (29-6) held the Minutewomen (18-28, 9-16 PL) to just three hits over seven innings of work, while UMass' Hannah Streicher (10-14) scattered 10 hits allowed during her complete-game effort.
Junior Kylie Doherty led BU with an RBI single and double, while freshman Madolyn Coupal also had two hits that led her to scoring one of the runs in the fourth. Both juniors Kyomi Apalit and Livia Christopher combined for the other two RBIs, as the Terriers extended their series win streak to six contests.
