BOSTON – In the opening round of the 2025 Patriot League Tournament, the 8-seed Boston University women's basketball program welcomes 9-seed Loyola Maryland to Case Gym on Saturday, March 8. Opening tip is set for 2 p.m.
BU (11-18, 5-13 PL) prepares for its sixth Patriot League Tournament home contest under fourth-year head coach
Melissa Graves, and its 12th since joining the conference for the 2013-14 campaign. Since the start of the 2019-20 campaign, the Terriers are 47-13 at The Roof against Patriot League opponents in the regular season and postseason.
Loyola Maryland (9-20, 3-15 PL) looks to win a Patriot League Tournament matchup for the third consecutive season. The Greyhounds are the No. 9-seed for the second time in the last three years.

- The Terriers capped the regular season with a 60-47 loss at Navy on March 5.
- BU surrendered 19 offensive rebounds that turned into 14 second-chance points for the Mids, who also scored 24 points in the second quarter.
- Anete Adler paced BU with 12 points, while sophomore Audrey Ericksen made a trio of three-pointers en route to 11 points.
- Senior Alex Giannaros and freshman Allison Schwertner received All-Patriot League honors on Friday, March 7. Giannaros earned a spot on the Second Team, while Schwertner made the All-Rookie Team.

- This marks the first appearance in the opening round for BU since 2018. The Terriers are 1-3 in this round, with the lone win coming in its debut season in the league in 2014. That was a 40-35 triumph over Loyola Maryland.

- The Greyhounds secured the 9-seed after opening the year as the preseason favorite.

- The Greyhounds enter the postseason on a five-game losing streak that began with a defeat to BU. Four of the five setbacks were by double digits.
- All-Patriot League Third Team selection Laura Salmerón has stepped in to score 13.9 points per game, good for a share of fourth place in the Patriot League rankings.

- Saturday marks the 25th all-time meeting between BU and Loyola Maryland in a series that began in 2014.
