An Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-American, Kehm led the Terriers with four caused turnovers and three ground balls on Friday. Kehm had another instrumental role in the clearing and riding games, helping BU force eight failed clears and also taking three shots to beat the 10-man ride and maintain possession for BU, including one that was blocked by a defender before going into the vacant cage. Kehm enters the postseason as the team leader with 29 caused turnovers and 49 ground balls.
Murphy enjoyed a career day at the faceoff X on Friday, winning a career-best 16 of the 24 draws he took for a 66.7% success rate while also gathering a career-best six ground balls. Murphy was especially good in the fourth quarter, going 5-for-6 at the X to help BU hold off a potential Colgate comeback. Murphy enters the postseason with a .558 win percentage at the X, which ranks second in the Patriot League and second among all NCAA rookies.
O'Connell was outstanding in Friday's win, leading BU with a career-high eight points on three goals and a career-best five assists. O'Connell also had one caused turnover and two ground balls in a complete effort. Three of O'Connell's eight points came during a 5-0 BU run at the end of the third quarter that put the game out of reach. O'Connell leads BU in points (61) and assists (30) and is the sixth different Terrier to record 60+ points in a season.
