Women’s Soccer Releases 2025 Schedule
July 9, 2025 | Women's Soccer
BOSTON – The reigning Patriot League champion Boston University women's soccer program will host eight home games and play 11 total contests in the state of Massachusetts in 2025, first-year head coach Megan Burke announced with the release of the full schedule.
BU will play nine non-conference games in addition to its nine-game Patriot League ledger. The out-of-conference opponents generated a combined .545 winning percentage (75-60-30), with two joining BU in the 2024 NCAA Tournament. The Terriers will square off against opponents from six different conferences: the Patriot League, CAA, America East, MAAC, WCC and the Ivy League.
The season begins on Aug. 14 with a short trek to crosstown rival Northeastern before two home matches against New Hampshire and Fairfield on Aug. 17 and 21, respectively. After a trip to defending America East champion Maine on Aug. 24, the Terriers travel to California for a two-game road swing at San Francisco (Aug. 28) and Saint Mary's (Aug. 31).
September begins with the two final games of a five-match road stretch as BU visits UMass Lowell on Sept. 7 and Harvard on Sept. 11. The Terriers return home to host Bryant on Sept. 14 before beginning Patriot League action at Navy on Sept. 20. After its conference home opener vs. Loyola Maryland on Sept. 27, BU opens October at Army West Point on the first day of the month.
BU plays four of its final six regular season contests at Nickerson Field, starting against Lafayette on Oct. 4. A rematch of the 2024 Patriot League title game at Bucknell beckons on Oct. 11 before a two-game homestand vs. Holy Cross (Oct. 15) and American (Oct. 18). After its regular season road finale at Lehigh on Oct. 25, the Terriers cap the schedule with a clash against Colgate on Oct. 29.
The top six teams in the table advance to the Patriot League Championship, with the quarterfinal round taking place on Nov. 2 and lasting until the title match on Nov. 9.
BU returns 23 letterwinners from its 2024 championship squad, including five All-Patriot League honorees and two All-Tournament selections. The Terriers knocked off Bucknell in penalty kicks back on Nov. 10, 2024 to claim its fifth Patriot League championship and 14th conference tournament title in program history.
