Stickelman, Prouty Capture Patriot League Weekly Honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After supply the scoring in Sunday's draw at UMass Lowell, Boston University women's soccer senior captain Mackenzie Stickelman and freshman Georgia Prouty were tabbed as the Patriot League Midfielder and Rookie of the Week, respectively, on Monday (Sept. 8).
Stickelman garners her first weekly award of the season and second Midfielder of the Week award in her career. Prouty earns her second weekly award this season after picking up Midfielder of the Week recognition on Aug. 18. BU has received three of the conference's four Midfielder of the Week awards in 2025.
After her first header off a corner kick was halted by the River Hawks' back line, Stickelman finished the job on an additional corner in the 52nd minute, finding the lower left corner of the goal to give the Terriers a 2-1 lead. The East Northport, N.Y. native has two goals on the season and six in her Terrier career.
Prouty got the scoring started in the 34th minute, shaking off a pair of markers before flicking a left-footed shot off another River Hawk defender and into the lower-right corner of the goal. The Danvers, Mass. product also has two goals and four points this year, tying Stickelman for second on the team. She is BU's first Patriot League Rookie of the Week since teammate Bridget Carr's honor on Oct. 21, 2024.
BU concludes its five-game road swing at Harvard on Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. before returning home to host Bryant on Sept. 14 at 1 p.m.
