BOSTON – Hitting the road for one contest, the Boston University men's basketball team will face Colgate on Saturday with a 2 p.m. tip.
The Terriers will aim to carry momentum from Wednesday's come-from-behind victory over Lafayette, while the Raiders will try to bounce back from a 70-66 loss at American.

- In the win against the Leopards, freshman Sam Hughes reached 20+ points for the second time with a personal-best 23 points after totaling 21 in the season opener at Northeastern.
- Hughes is now one of four Terriers to score 20+ points multiple times this year with junior Michael McNair leading BU at seven total to average a team-high 16.3 ppg.
- Owner of five double-doubles, sophomore Ben Defty (14.1 ppg) leads the Terriers at 6.9 rpg and with 31 blocks, while freshman Chance Gladden (12.4 ppg) is averaging a team-high 4.6 apg.
- BU is 1-2 in road Patriot League games with an 83-67 victory at Lafayette and losses to both Navy (82-77) and Loyola Maryland (74-57).

- Colgate is averaging 76.5 ppg and 48.8 FG% while holding teams to 73.7 ppg and 43.2 FG%.
- Raiders rank 35th in field goal shooting percentage and are also 49th in committing just 10.3 turnovers per game.
- The Raiders lead the all-time series, 35-31, after both home teams won last season.
- BU pulled out a 93-91 double-overtime victory in February to avenge an earlier 87-50 loss at Colgate.
- The Terriers have lost their last seven contests in Hamilton, New York, after claiming the PL title in 2020 with a 64-61 victory. Five of those losses have been decided by double-digits.
LOOKING AHEAD
- BU will return home to host PL preseason favorite Navy on Wednesday (Jan. 28) at 7 p.m.
- The Midshipmen will seek their first sweep since 2022-23 after claiming 82-77 home win on Dec. 31 with the help of a 30-12 advantage in free throw attempts.
- PL preseason Player of the Year Austin Benigni led Navy in Dec. with 27 pts. and eight assists, while Aidan Kehoe had 15 points and 15 rebounds.. Gladden led BU with 26 points, while Defty and McNair combined for 25. Midshipmen posted 30-12 advantage in FT attempts.
- Navy eliminated 2025 PL quarterfinal host BU, 86-78, after the Terriers won the 2024 quarterfinal at Case Gym, 70-61.
