NORTH ALLSTON, Mass. – The Boston University women's tennis team dropped a 4-1 decision to Harvard on Sunday afternoon.

In doubles, freshman Madison Liu and senior Emily Zhao earned a dominant 6-1 win at line three, but Harvard ultimately claimed the doubles point. BU earned one point in singles after junior Nancy Liu's foe retired in the first set. Harvard went on to win the next three singles matches at lines four, five and six, respectfully, to take the 4-1 win.

Notably, sophomore Gabriella Mikaul was in a tight second set battle with No. 49 Stephanie Yakoff. After losing the first set 6-2, Mikaul was tied 3-3 with Yakoff when the match was clinched by the Crimson.

BU will continue its season on Saturday (Jan. 31) with a trip to Dartmouth. The match is scheduled for 1 p.m.
