HANOVER, N.H. — The Boston University men's tennis team lost 7-0 to the Dartmouth Big Green on Saturday evening.
The Terriers were swept at singles, with the closest match being at third singles, where freshman David Asenov lost 5-7, 6-7 (5) to his opponent. Senior Jakob Esterowitz and sophomore Jaydon Barki each took their opponents at first and sixth singles, respectively, to tiebreaks in a set, but failed to win the set.
In doubles, the Terriers came a tiebreak away from securing the point. BU's Barki and sophomore Andrew Andea won their match at third doubles, 7-5. At second doubles, sophomore Ege Topkoc and Asenov got to a tiebreak, but the final was 6-7 (5) and BU lost the point.
Next up, BU heads to Yale for a matchup with the Bulldogs.
