NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The Boston University men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to the Yale Bulldogs on Sunday night in New Haven.
The Terriers (1-3) failed to win a set in the loss to Yale (4-1), but at first singles, senior Jakob Esterowitz battled and won five games against the top player in New England, Vignesh Gogineni of Yale. Sophomore Jaydon Barki was in a 4-6, 2-3 battle with his opponent at fifth singles. BU dropped doubles matches 1 and 2 as Yale earned the doubles point.
Next up, the Terriers will scrimmage MIT on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 1 p.m. and then head to Harvard on Sunday, Feb. 8 for a 3:30 p.m. match.
