Shannehan Named to Tewaaraton Watch List

WASHINGTON - Sophomore Timothy Shannehan of the Boston University men's lacrosse team was named to the 2026 Tewaaraton Award Watch List, as announced on Tuesday.

Shannehan is one of six Patriot League representatives on the initial list of 50 men's players. He is off to a great start to his second year as a Terrier, ranking seventh in the NCAA and second in the Patriot League with 13 points. An NCAA-best 11 of those points came in a 23-7 win over Siena, as Shannehan notched five goals and six assists against the Saints. He is tied for eighth in the nation in assists (6) and tied for 10th in the country in goals (7).

Arguably the top rookie in the country last season, Shannehan was an Inside Lacrosse preseason All-American as well as an All-Patriot League selection this year. He earned First Team All-Patriot League accolades in 2025 and was the PL and the ECAC Rookie of the Year.
