Terriers Compete on Opening Night of Boston Winter Open

BOSTON - The Boston University swimming & diving teams opened up their final home weekend of the season on Friday with the first session of the Boston Winter Open at FitRec Competition Pool.
Freshman Kaelyn Katchuk won the 1-meter dive competition, posting a season-high score of 273.95, while classmate Zack Lee turned in a score of 251.20 to place second in the men's competition.
Sophomore Julijana Jelic swam a season-best 2:09.68 in the 200-yard individual medley.
On the men's side, freshman Ethan Zhou led seven Terriers in the 200 IM with a runner-up finish in a season-best time of 1:50.15. Sophomore Galen Carter (1:52.66), sophomore Derek Cheng (1:53.00), junior Evan Liu (1:53.25), sophomore Diego Rosario (1:54.45) and junior Jonathan Tsang (1:55.30) also swam season bests.
Sophomore Abraham Lee was second in the 50 freestyle with a season-best time of 20.60. Freshman Azariah Mamousette placed sixth (20.97).
In time trials, five more season bests were secured - Cheng (50 free, 21.25), junior David Kohan (100 fly, 50.14), Zhou (200 free, 1:40.53), sophomore Diego Rosario (100 free, 46.78) and Tsang (200 fly, 1:50.55),
