Terriers Drop 4-1 Result to FIU

MIAMI – The Boston University women's tennis team dropped a 4-1 decision to FIU on Tuesday afternoon.
After FIU won the doubles point, it quickly took a 3-0 lead in the match with singles wins at the Nos. 1 and 5 spots, respectively. BU got its first and only point at line four when sophomore Madison Liu won 7-5, 6-3. Shortly thereafter, FIU won at line two to secure the 4-1 win over BU.
Notably, junior Ellie Gyuro and freshman Lauren Kettlewell both took their singles matches to three sets. Gyuro won her first set and Kettlewell won her second before play went unfinished.
BU will face No. 29 Miami on Wednesday at noon to continue its Florida trip.
