No. 14 Men’s Rowing Set for Spring Opener Against Navy in New Jersey
March 28, 2026 | Men's Rowing
BOSTON – Eighty-nine years from its inception in 1937, the Boston University men's rowing ignites its spring campaign on Sunday (March 29), heading down to Lake Carnegie in Princeton, N.J. for a dual race against Navy. The first race is set for 9:20 a.m.
BU will race four crews in its first official contest against the Midshipmen in four years. The Terriers were originally scheduled to compete vs. Columbia on the day, but that has been shifted to the Lake Morey Invite later in the schedule.
The Terriers began the 2025-26 slate with the 60th Head of the Charles Regatta back in October, where BU's top Championship 8+ crew was 10th among collegians and the Club 4+ and lead Club 8+ boats were top 10. BU comes off a 2025 spring finishing 14th as a team at the IRA National Championship Regatta.
Navy finished right behind BU for 15th place at the IRA Championship. Its Varsity 8 crew was 12th in the nation following a sixth-place result in the Petite Final.
