Gianino Inks Professional Contract With Dallas Trinity FC

DALLAS, Texas – Following a decorated four-year career on the Boston University women's soccer program, midfielder Giulianna Gianino (SAR'26) has signed a professional contract with Dallas Trinity FC in the United Soccer League's Gainbridge Super League, the club formally announced on Sept. 22.
Gianino has signed her contract through the 2027 season. Dallas's fall season began in August and continues through November.
The three-time All-Patriot League First Team selection suited up for the Scarlet & White from 2022-25. She finished her 80-match career with 25 career assists, good for a share of the all-time program record, and 75 career points to rank fifth-most in program history. Throughout her tenure, Gianino has earned Patriot League Rookie of the Year (2022) and Midfielder of the Year (2025) honors while helping BU earn the Patriot League championship in 2024.
Gianino's senior year marked one of the most impressive feats by a Terrier and a Patriot League student-athlete in 2025. The Norwell, Mass. native finished the year with seven goals and 15 assists for 29 points, the latter marking the fifth-most in a single season for a Terrier. She led Division I with 0.79 assists per game while setting the single-season assists record, leading to first team All-Patriot League and All-ECAC recognition. In addition to her midfielder of the year honor, Gianino was also named the Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year that season.
Gianino is the latest Terrier alumna to join the professional soccer ranks. Among the BU graduates currently playing professional soccer in North America are Kylie (Strom) Nadaner, a 2024 NWSL Defender of the Year finalist for the Orlando Pride, Portland Thorns goalkeeper Morgan Messner, who recently inked a contract extension back in May and Anna Heilferty, who suits up for Roses de Montréal in Canada's Northern Super League.
