Kyle Czech, who comes from Prentiss Hockey Performance (PHP) in Connecticut, began serving as the strength & conditioning coach for the Terriers’ field hockey and men’s ice hockey programs in the fall of 2016. He holds two degrees from Winona State University in Minnesota and has previously worked at two Power 5 schools (Clemson, Wisconsin).

PHP, owned by highly regarded PICP Level 5 strength coach Ben Prentiss, has trained the likes of Olympians Jonathan Quick, James van Riemsdyk, Martin St. Louis and former Terrier Kevin Shattenkirk, along with multiple other Stanley Cup champions and professionals throughout hockey and lacrosse. In addition, Prentiss will serve as a consultant for the men’s hockey program.

At Clemson, Czech assisted with all Olympic sports before moving on to Wisconsin, where he was a strength & conditioning intern with men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s hockey, golf and spirit squads.

“Kyle brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to our program,” said then BU men's hockey head coach and current New York Rangers head coach David Quinn in 2016. “He has some great experience working with Ben Prentiss and at Wisconsin over the last few years. In the short period of time he has been here, our players have found him to be incredibly smart and personable. He works incredibly hard and will be a great addition to our staff.”
