Working primarily with the goalkeepers, Tom Mayor joined the Terriers in 2014 as an FA Level 2 License coach and FA Level 2 Goalkeeper coach. Under his watch, senior Nick Thomson posted a personal best .814 save percentage and 0.75 goals against average while also earning Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors. He brings a variety of playing experience from age nine, including Leicester City FC. In 2010, the Northampton, England native received a sixth-month contract with Manchester United and played with the reserve team against squads like Arsenal and Aston Villa while also training with the first team goalkeepers. The goalkeeper later received trials at Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton before suffering a career-ending arm injury. Afterwards, he worked as an assistant goalkeeper coach with the under 18, 19 and Reserve Watford FC teams from 2011-13 while also scouting for new goalkeeper talent in the region. He's also been working as the Director of Goalkeepers for Global Premier Soccer.
