Jason Pellum

Jason Pellum joined the BU Women's Basketball program in September 2021. He recently completed his fourth year with the Terriers in 2024-25, his first season as an assistant coach after his elevation to the role in April of 2024.

Pellum wrapped up his second season as the program's Director of Operations in the 2023-24 campaign. In this capacity, Pellum assisted with a variety of logistics for the program, including team practices, weekly schedules, travel, uniforms and gear, and more.

Pellum was elevated to Director of Operations before the 2022-23 campaign after spending his first year at BU as the team's Video Coordinator. In that role, he was responsible for recording practice and game film for the coaching staff to evaluate, and organized game film from road games. 

Pellum arrives to Boston after spending the 2019-20 season as video coordinator intern with the University of Connecticut women's basketball team. In this role, he helped film practices and games, organizing footage while creating scouting reports for opponent personnel.

On the court, Pellum was a practice player and later a walk-on for the UConn men's team, being a part of the squad that won the 2014 NCAA Tournament. He was also a practice player for the women's team during their 2016 national championship, often playing on scout teams to prepare the Huskies for upcoming opponents. In 2016, he earned the opportunity to serve in the same role for the USA Women's Olympic team during training camp. In the summer of 2019, Pellum was a practice player for the WNBA's Connecticut Sun, who made it to the WNBA Finals that season.

Pellum graduated from UConn with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 2016. He is a native of New London, Conn.
