Kaitlyn Scales

Kaitlyn Scales joined the Boston University women's ice hockey program as the director of operations in May 2023.

Scales arrived on Comm. Ave. after spending the 2022-23 season in the same role with UConn's women's ice hockey team. While with the Huskies, Scales coordinated the team's travel and was also in charge of equipment. 

In addition to her duties with UConn, Scales was the equipment manager for the U.S. Women's National Under-18 Team that won silver in 2022 and bronze in 2023. She also served as a member of the hockey operations and video staff for Team USA. Scales 

Prior to her most recent stint at UConn, Scales worked for Princeton women's ice hockey in both equipment operations as well as summer camp operations. Scales also has experience at the professional level with the Carolina Hurricanes, working with their "Canes Girls Hockey" program, assisting on and off the ice at clinics and summer camps.

Scales, who began her hockey career as an equipment assistant at UConn during the 2017-18 season, graduated from Liberty University in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in sport management before earning a master's degree in sport administration from Liberty in 2017.
