Emma Clark completed her third year as an assistant coach during the 2018 season and was promoted to associate head coach in November.
Clark helped BU return to the top of the Patriot League this past seasons, as the Terriers claimed their fourth Patriot League title and advanced to their 14th NCAA Tournament appearance. BU finished with an 11-7-4 record, including an unbeaten mark in Patriot League play at 7-0-2. Additionally, Clark coached five All-Patriot League selections, while Taylor Kofton earned Rookie of hte Year honors.
In 2017, the Terriers reached the Patriot League semifinals and finished with an overall record of 10-8-3. Rachel Bloznalis repeated as the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year, while Anna Heilferty was named the league's Rookie of the Year to headline five All-Patriot League selections.
In her first season in 2016, Clark helped guide the Terriers to their fourth-straight Patriot League championship game appearance. Under Clark's tutelage, Rachel Bloznalis was named the Defensive Player of the Year, while six other Terriers earned All-Patriot League honors.
Clark played in the midfield for the Terriers from 2010-2013, helping the team win two America East Championships in 2010 and 2011 and a Patriot League Championship in the program’s first year in the conference in 2013. She was named to the NSCAA All-Region team and to the all-conference first team as a junior and senior and went to the NCAA Tournament three times.
After graduating from Boston University’s College of Communication, Clark became a volunteer assistant coach at Maine before being promoted to an assistant coach prior to the 2015 season. While with the Black Bears, she helped guide the team to the America East Tournament semifinal round last season and coached a two-time America East Defender of the Year, an America East Rookie of the Year, an America East Goalkeeper of the year and 10 All-America East selections.
Outside of the collegiate game, Clark has been involved as a coach at the youth and high school level, working with the Seacoast United Soccer Club since 2010, most recently serving as the girls U-18 coach. She also helped coach at the Terrier Training camps while she was a BU student-athlete and worked as a skills coach for the Slocum Soccer School.
