Katie Schoepfer enters her third season as a volunteer assistant coach of the Terriers in 2016.

While working with the Terriers, Schoepfer is also in her fifth season playing for the Boston Breakers. The striker brings a wealth of offensive prowess to the table, having played professionally since graduating from Penn State in 2009.

The New London, Conn. native was a member of the U.S. U23 National Team from 2008 to 2010 and was selected 26th overall in the 2010 Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) Draft by Sky Blue FC (Piscataway Township, N.J.) and 11th overall by the Boston Breakers in the 2013 NWSL Inaugural Draft.

Schoepfer had an incredible career with the Nittany Lions, helping PSU to four consecutive Big Ten Championships. She was named an NSCAA All-American on two occasions, earning second team recognition as a sophomore and third team honors as a senior. Shoepfer was a four-time All-Big Ten selection and was the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year during her senior campaign. She also earned a spot in the NSCAA Scholar All-American first team, was a nominee for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award and a semifinalist for the Hermann Trophy (awarded to the United States' top female and male soccer player) in her final year as a Nittany Lion.
