Mark McDevitt returns for his second season on the BU coaching staff in 2011. A native of Derry, Northern Ireland, he has more than 10 years of coaching experience at a wide range of levels in the US.

As a player, McDevitt played on a national championship team at the University of Ulster, Magee, won two national championships with his high school team, and also captained his club team to both indoor and outdoor national championships. Additionally, McDevitt represented Northern Ireland at under age levels, and was selected for the Ireland Universities team in his senior year.

McDevitt moved to the US in 2000 when he accepted a position with the Cape Cod Crusaders PDL Team as an assistant coach. He was also the associate head coach of the Boston Renegades W League team during the 2007 and 2008 seasons. In addition, he is currently the program director for Mass Premier Soccer.

Mark holds a USSF B license (2006). He graduated from the University of Ulster, Magee in 2000 with a degree in business studies with a specialization in entrepreneurship.
