CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Boston University senior co-captain Tina McDavitt's (Walpole, MA) goal with 1:18 remaining in the first half proved to be enough as No. 13 Boston University downed No. 20 Harvard, 2-0, at Jordan Field.
McDavitt's goal was set up by seniors Jessica Alcorta (Demarest, NJ) and Jaclyn Mele (Fairfield, NJ) on a penalty corner.
Terrier midfielder Kerry Carney (Yorktown Heights, NY) connected on her first collegiate goal at 10:55 of the second half to secure the 2-0 win.
The Terriers improved to 13-2, while Harvard falls to 8-4.
Crimson goalie Anya Cowan had 12 saves, while B.U. goalie, senior Noreen Flanagan (Red Bank, NJ) stopped 3 Harvard shots.
The Terriers outshot the Crimson, 16-6, and held the advantage in penalty corner situations, 10-2 .
B.U. hold a 12-8-1 series advantage over the Crimson.
