Four Terriers Selected to All-Conference Teams

BOSTON - Senior midfielder Anthony D'Angelo (Tewksbury, MA) and junior midfielder Andrew Dorman (Flintshire, Wales) were selected to the America East All-Conference First Team.
In addition, sophomore Erik Evjen (Askim, Norway) was named to the All-Conference Second Team while freshman Jamie Johnson (Brisbane, Australia) received All-Rookie team honors.
Starting all 72 games during his four-year career at B.U., D'Angelo earned his first honor from the America East. D'Angelo, who co-captained the team with Dorman, scored three goals in 2002 while anchoring the Terriers' midfield. For his career, D'Angelo tallied five goals and five assists for 15 points.
Dorman earned America East All-Conference First Team accolades for the second consecutive season. He also appeared on the America East All-Rookie Team in 1999.
Dorman led the America East and was tied for 16th in the nation in assists, averaging 0.59 per game. Starting all 17 games in the midfield, Dorman scored a team-high six goals and totaled a team-high 22 points. He ranked third in the league in scoring, averaging 1.29 points per game.
Dorman was named the America East Player of the Week on Sept. 16 after scoring a goal and assisting on two others in B.U.'s wins over regional-rivals Dartmouth and Fairfield.
Evjen returned to the All-Conference Second Team for the second straight year. Evjen led the Terrier defense as it compiled a 1.25 goals against average, the league's second-best average. Evjen, also an All-Rookie Team selection as a freshman in 2001, was one of seven Terriers to start all 17 contests in 2002.
Johnson earned All-Rookie team honors following an outstanding freshman campaign. Starting in 16-of-17 games in the midfield, Johnson tallied four goals and one assist for nine points. His four goals led all Terrier freshmen and ranked third on the team.
The Terriers completed the 2002 season with an 8-6-3 overall record and a 3-3-1 mark in America East action. It marked the 19th consecutive winning season for Terrier head coach Neil Roberts.
