Men's Soccer to Face Northeastern on Friday

BOSTON – The Boston University men's soccer team continues its road stretch at Northeastern for a Friday night showdown. The match will be streamed on FloSports with a broadcast slated for 7 p.m.

TERRIER TIDBITS

BU opened its season in Orlando, falling 1-0 to UCF, the reigning Sun Belt Tournament champions.
Senior Ben Alexander shined in goal for the Terriers, making four saves and keeping the match scoreless for the first half. The four saves mark the most he has ever made in a season opener, surpassing the two saves in his first career season-opening appearance last year against New Hampshire
Freshmen Chinelo Robinson, Kaelen Kunar, Jonah Greenblatt, Ryan Ghajar, Guillem Vila Ametller and Jacob Kobanemade their collegiate debuts. Kobane, Vila Ametller and Greenblatt each played 45 minutes. Additionally, Kobane made his first career start.

SCOUTING THE HUSKIES

Northeastern opened its season against Patriot League opponent Holy Cross, defeating the crusaders 5-0.
The Huskies are coming off a 1-0 loss to Stonehill, where they outshot the Skyhawks 12-9.
Friday's cross town battle marks Northeastern's home opener for the 2026 season.
The Huskies have seven new faces on the roster this season, along with twenty upperclassmen, and are led by Jeremy Bonomo in his third season.

SERIES HISTORY

The Terriers lead 22-11-4 in all-time series against the Huskies with a 7-5-2 record on the road.
Last season, BU fell 3-2 to Northeastern at home.
With a win, the Terriers would earn their first victory of the season, first win over Northeastern since 2021 and their first triumph at Parsons Field since Sept. 16, 2014.

LOOKING AHEAD

BU will conclude its season opening road trip at Providence on Monday, Aug. 31 at 7 p.m.
The Terriers are 11-4-4 in all-time series against the Friars with a 2-2-3 record on the road.
A win would mark BU's first win in Providence since Oct. 21, 1989.
