BOSTON - Senior midfielder Andrew Dorman (Flintshire, Wales) headlined a group of five Terriers named to All-Conference and All-Rookie Teams as announced by the America East prior to the start of this evening's play.
A First Team All-Conference selection, Dorman has earned America East honors during all four years of his career. Dorman has earned First Team accolades every year since his sophomore season and was named to the All-Rookie Team following his freshman season.
During the 2003 regular season, Dorman led America East and ranked fourth in the nation in assists per game (.075). With 12 assists in 16 games, Dorman set a B.U. program record with 37 career assists. Dorman also led the Terriers in points with 18 and was tied for fourth on the team in goals with three.
Dorman was joined on the First Team by sophomore midfielder Sedrick Chin (St. Mary's, Jamaica). Chin led the Terriers and ranked third in America East in goals per game with seven in 16 contests (0.44).
Chin was named America East Player of the Week on Oct. 13 after totaling seven points in the Terriers' conference wins over Northeastern and New Hampshire. He was also honored as a Rookie of the Week in 2002.
Junior back Erik Evjen (Askim, Norway) was named to the America East All-Conference Second Team after anchoring a Terrier defense that compiled six shutouts while averaging 1.58 goals allowed per game. This was Evjen's third honor from the America East in his career. He was named to the All-Conference Second Team in 2002 and the All-Rookie Team in 2001.
Freshmen Anders Ostli (Fredrickstead, Norway) and Zach Kirby (Roswell, GA) were both named to the All-Rookie Team.
Despite missing seven games due to injuries, Ostli ranked second on the team in goals with five and third on the team in points with 12. Ostli also scored two of the Terriers' nine game-winning goals during the regular season.
A talented back, Kirby was the only freshman to start all 19 games during the regular season.
Fourth-seeded Boston University (9-7-3, 4-2-3) hosts fifth-seeded Northeastern (8-7-3, 4-4-1) in the America East Championship First Round at Nickerson Field tonight at 7 p.m.
