BOSTON - Battling back from a 2-0 halftime deficit, the Boston University men's soccer team fought for a 2-2 tie against America East foe Vermont at Nickerson Field on Saturday, April 19.
Freshman midfielder Jamie Johnson (Brisbane, Australia) and junior midfielder Karl Ruegemer (Minnetonka, MN) each tallied second-half goals to propel the Terriers' comeback effort.
Freshman Chad Comroe (Dallas, TX) manned the net for the Terriers.
B.U. was without the services of juniors Michael Feely (Lemmington Spa, England) and Andrew Dorman (Flintshire, Wales) who were suspended prior to the game due to violations of team rules.
"We were a little unorganized in the first half," said Terrier head coach Neil Roberts. "Fortunately, we were able to settle down in the second half. I was really pleased to see how we adjusted to the lineup changes."
With the tie, the Terriers remain unbeaten in the spring with a 4-0-2 mark.
B.U. closes out its spring campaign when it hosts Providence on Thursday, April 24, at 6:30 p.m.
