Varsity To Meet NHL Alumni In Sunday Benefit Game

BOSTON, MA--Hockey fans who want to see professional players in action will have an opportunity this Sunday, Oct. 24 when the Terriers host a group of former Terriers either playing now, or have played in the NHL, in a benefit exhibition game at 1:00 p.m. at Brown Arena.
With the National Hockey League currently on strike, this will be hockey fans an opportunity to see players in action.
Among the former Terriers who are current NHL players who have accepted invitations to play are Chris Drury, Shawn McEachern, Tom Poti, Mike Grier, Rick DiPietro, Jay Pandolfo, Shawn Bates, Dan LaCouture, Adrian Aucoin, Scott Lachance, and Scott Young.
Former Terriers, who did play in the NHL but have since retired and are expected to play against the 2004-05 varsity include Joe Sacco.
Tickets for the game will be $22.00 with all proceeds going to the Travis Roy and Mark Bavis Foundations.
