Women's Swimming and Diving Falls to Dartmouth, 154-146

HANOVER, N.H. - The Boston University men's swimming and diving team defeated Dartmouth, 189.5-110.5, while the women's squad dropped a tight meet, 154-146, to the Big Green on Saturday afternoon at Karl Michael Pool. The men's team claimed first place in 14-of-16 events, while Eve Kinsella picked up three victories and Sarah Doersam and Tess Waresmith were multi-event winners for the women's squad.
Kinsella earned wins in the 200 free the 200 free (1:55.36), 100 free (54.00) and 200 IM (2:10.72). Sarah Doersam began her day with a win in the 200 fly (2:08.28), and then followed it up with a victory in the 200 back (2:10.29). Distance specialist Christina Ruggiero earned a first-place finish in the 1,000 free with a time of 10 minutes, 36.59 seconds and then picked up second-place honors in the 500 free (5:13.47.
Waresmith continued her dominance on both the 1- and 3-meter boards with 269.85 points and 304.88, respectively.
The women's squad returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 19, when it hosts New Hampshire and Northeastern at 1:30 p.m.
