In the fifth, the Terriers' loaded the bases on three consecutive singles. Junior Christy Leath drew a walk to bring home sophomore Rachel Moeller, and Hebert followed up with a sacrifice fly out that plated Setterlund. Dubay's double to center field tacked on BU's fourth run and Hudson's single cut the deficit in half when Dubay and Leath crossed home plate.

Missouri's Jen Bruck got out of a bases-loaded jam in the seventh with a strikeout and ground out.
