
No. 67 Furman Hands Terriers 4-3 Loss

BOSTON - The Boston University women's tennis team (7-7) suffered its second straight narrow 4-3 loss, this time to No. 67 Furman on Sunday at the Mickel Tennis Center.
The Terriers again started off by winning the doubles point. Junior co-captains Cori Lefkowith and Danielle Abraham defeated Lauren Osborne and Monica Arguello 8-5 at second doubles, and sophomore Liz Corrao and junior Yana Sadovskaya played third doubles and handed Jessica Preeg and Christina Swindall an 8-3 loss.
Lefkowith picked up her second win of the day at fourth singles, defeating Preeg 7-5, 6-1. Abraham was also a double winner, claiming a 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) victory over Jennifer Betts at sixth singles.
BU will play Boston College on Wednesday, April 9 in the Terriers' next outing.
