Four Boston University hockey players have been nominated to participate in the NCAA Frozen Four Skills Challenge. Seniors Matt Gilroy and Chris Higgins from the men's team and Gina Kearns and Allyse Wilcox from the women's team are on the ballot for the event, which takes place on April 10 at the Verizon Center in Washington.
Online voting is underway and will be taken into consideration by the selection committee that will choose six position players and two goalies of each gender for the East team and the West team. The Frozen Four Skills Challenge includes seniors from across the nation and will highlight the "Friday Night at the Frozen Four". The night will also include the presentation of the Hobey Baker Memorial Award, the Hockey Humanitarian Award and the announcement of the American Hockey Coaches Association All-American teams.
Fans can vote for their favorite Terriers at http://www.ncaa.com/frozenfourskllschallenge/ now through noon on Wednesday (Feb. 18). The final rosters will be announced by the end of February.
