Head coach Jack Parker of the Boston University men's ice hockey team was honored prior to the Terriers' eventual 5-3 victory over UMass Lowell on Friday for reaching the 800-win mark in his storied coaching career.
On Jan. 30, Parker and the Terriers skated to a 3-1 road victory over Merrimack to allow the 36th-year head coach to reach the milestone. Now with 802 career wins, Parker joins Jerry York (815) and Ron Mason (924) in the exclusive 800-win club and he is the only coach to win 800 games at one school.
At Friday's ceremony, Parker was given a framed jersey with his name and 800 on the back of it, along with a team photo that was taken immediately after the milestone victory.
