Three long-time athletic department employees are being honored this week for their service to Boston University. Head men's soccer coach Neil Roberts is celebrating his 25th year at BU, while men's ice hockey assistant coach Mike Bavis and administrative coordinator Kathi Brown have been with the Terriers for 10 years.

Roberts will be recognized on Thursday (March 26) at the University Service Recognition dinner, while Bavis and Brown were honored at a luncheon on Monday.

Roberts has led the men's soccer team to seven America East Championships and 13 NCAA tournament appearances in his tenure, registering an unprecedented 23 winning seasons. He was an assistant coach under Hank Steinbrecher before taking the helm of the program in 1985.

Bavis has served as an assistant on head coach Jack Parker's staff for the past decade, returning to his alma mater after graduating from BU in 1993. During Bavis' tenure, the Terriers have won two Hockey East championships and eight Beanpot titles.

Brown has served as the administrative coordinator of the men's ice hockey program since 2002, managing the administrative duties of the men's ice hockey office and serving as a liason with the Friends of Hockey. She originally joined the athletics department as a compliance assistant before taking on her current role.
