BOSTON - Boston University was well represented at Fenway Park this past weekend for the Red Sox' three-game sweep of the arch-rival New York Yankees. Head coach Jack Parker and the national champion men's ice hockey team threw out the ceremonial first pitch on Sunday, while the Terriers' top student fans attended Friday's night's contest.
The year's Top 40 point scores for Terrier Rewards were all invited to a Qdoba taco party and the game on Friday. Four coaches, Orlando Vandross (men's basketball), Kelly Greenberg (women's basketball), Neil Roberts (men's soccer) and Liz Robertshaw (women's lacrosse) joined the students for dinner at Sargent Gym then headed down to Fenway for what turned out to be the most exciting game of the series.
With his team behind him on the mound, Parker caught the right corner of the plate with a pitch to Red Sox catcher George Kottaras, kicking off Sunday's contest, which was broadcast live on ESPN.
