The victory marks the second time in program history that BU has picked up two wins in an NCAA regional, as it has been 13 years since the program last accomplished the feat.

BU took an early lead - one that it would not relent - when Setterlund and Dubay cracked two straight homers and senior Brooke Hudson unleashed an RBI double in the first. Freshman Emily Roesch added two insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth with a two-run blast to right field that also allowed senior Christy Leath to score.

Senior Shayne Lotito went 2-for-3 to tie a single-season school record for hits in a season with 70. Junior Cassidi Hardy, making her third consecutive start in two days, threw her 11th shutout of the season with a three-hit gem. She struck out four batters in the win to improve to 27-6 and tie a single-season school record for wins in a season. The Terriers' defense was also strong turning one double play and not allowing a single Auburn runner past first base.

In the first, Auburn put a base runner on first with a single into right field with two outs, but the Tigers' Elizabeth Eisterhold went down swinging as Hardy got out of the frame unscathed.

Setterlund got things going early with her team-leading eighth home run of the season when she cracked one over the right field fence to put BU ahead, 1-0. On the next at-bat Dubay went deep for her fifth home run on the year as she tied BU's career RBI record (124) with the hit. Hudson kept the momentum going with an RBI double that plated Leath and extend her hit streak to seven games.

The third run forced Auburn head coach Tina Deese to make a pitching change as Jenee Loree came into the circle and forced a ground out and strikeout to get out of the inning.

In the second, the Tigers went down in order, while Lotito recorded a two-out double to center field in the bottom half of the frame to put herself in scoring position, but a strikeout stranded the left fielder on second.

The bats went silent over the next three innings and junior Rachel Hebert made a great defensive save in the fifth when she snagged a hard-hit line drive to her right for the first out. Lotito recorded her second hit on the afternoon with a line drive into left field but a double play ended the threat.

With six outs to go in the game, the Terriers turned their 32nd double play of the season in the sixth to keep the Tigers from advancing to second for the first time all game. In the seventh, Auburn went down in order, following Roesch's two-run blast.

The Terriers' game with host Georgia Tech is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m., but with rain in the area it may be delayed. Check back to GoTerriers.com for updates as they become available.
