Former Boston University standouts Chris Drury and Ryan Whitney are among 34 invitees to the U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Orientation Camp, as announced by USA Hockey on Tuesday. The camp, which is the first step in preparing the 2010 U.S. Olympic Team, will take place Aug. 17-19 at Seven Bridges Ice Arena in Woodridge, Ill.
Drury, who played with Team USA in the 2002 and 2006 Olympics, just finished up his second season with the New York Rangers and his first as the team's captain. Whitney is attempting to make his first Olympic team. He began the 2008-09 season with the Pittsburgh Penquins before being dealt to the Anaheim Ducks at the trading deadline.
