A member of the 2009-10 Boston University men's ice hockey team, freshman Alex Chiasson was recently featured on ESPN.com. Writer Patrick Carney talked with him about his transition to Division I athletics.
Chiasson joins the Terriers after tallying a team-high 50 points (17g, 33a) in 56 games with the Des Moines Buccaneers of the USHL in 2008-09. He was chosen for the 2009 USHL Prospects/All-Star Game and played for the Northwood School in Lake Placid during the 2007-08 season. He was also selected in the second round (38th overall) by the Dallas Stars in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
