
Matt Gilroy Named to U.S. National Team

Matt Gilroy, who one year ago helped lead Boston University to its fifth national title in men's ice hockey, has been named to the U.S. National Team for the upcoming World Championship to be held in Germany from May 7-23. Gilroy just wrapped up his first season with the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League.
USA Hockey announced the preliminary 12-man roster, which includes seven forwards, four defenseman and a goaltender, on Thursday. Other players will be added to the squad as teams are eliminated from the NHL playoffs in the coming weeks.
