BOSTON - Junior April Setterlund has been named this week's GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week after batting .533 over five games with eight hits and five RBIs to help BU maintain first place in the America East standings.
Setterlund hit four extra-base hits with a double, a triple and two home runs in 15 attempts, while not striking out once. Last week, she had multiple-hit games in three contests and her best performance came against No. 21 UMass, when she went 2-for-4 with four RBIs off a grand slam.
Setterlund's 2010 tear has yielded a single-season record in RBIs (49) and she is one double (14), one run (47) and two home runs (12) away from breaking single-season marks in those respective categories as well.
Following Tuesday's twinbill at Boston College, BU will host URI on Thursday (April 22) in a doubleheader at BU Softball Field beginning at 3 p.m. before hosting Binghamton in an AE three-game series the following weekend.
